F’iits, that’s what I call them.
Short for Fingerless Mitts?
It’s easy, my son says, to use his cell phone, Kindle, etc. while wearing.
Easier to handle things in general, fingers available, hands warm.
A cell phone, iPod & ? friendly accessory.
He might agree that he can ‘flit’ through phoning, texting, Kindle-ing?
'I remain dextrous', he could say.
Even indoors, they're useful.
In the 'olden days', they were called 'piano gloves'.
In cold weather, they're called warm.
(As one who's practiced many hours, I can attest to what 'piano gloves' offer.)
My son wore them to work.
His pair is like the “Take me to a Faire Isle” on knits page. [ http://www.janetlongarts.com/knits.html]
Now, a co-worker wants a pair. “He likes the bright colors,” I was told.
No boring colors for men anymore!
