My sis is a giving person and she loves horses.
She has found a way to combine these two things.
There is, in her home state of Rhode Island,
a wonderful place for disabled children,
Lend A Hand Farm Therepeutic Riding Foundation
Ann goes weekly or oftener to feed horses, help children ride, leading them along as they need it.
She gets to ride some, too. Lend a Hand TRF is a place where she both gives and receives.
This past winter, during the severe weather that the East coast, lots of places experienced, she was
faithful in her visits to feed the therapy horses, break the ice on their water buckets, anything and
everything she could do to help those special horses be comfortable and safe. They have important
things to do as they minister to children who light up when they ride. The children's disabilities
virtually vanish when they're atop a large, warm and friendly horse. Lend a Hand TRF holds
fundraising event on a regular basis. They need to write thank you notes to the kind people who
give funds and themselves to support what Lend a Hand TRF does for the children they help.
My sister ordered some of my "Runners" note cards (pictured).
She sent it to one of the people at Lend a Hand as a 'thank you' note. They liked the cards.
Now my sister is purchasing and donating several boxes of "Runners" note cards to them.
Horse note cards, (how appropriate) for sending thanks from a therapeutic riding foundation!
AND, I get to donate 50% of this sale to the Gunderson Family Adoption Fund!
Note cards, helping others. Just little note cards. One never knows what a 'little thing' might do!
